Coal Stokers: Boilers, Furnaces and Stoves
A Coal stoker furnace, stoker boiler or stoker stove automatically controls most operations including automatically feeding the coal. They are quite similar to any conventional oil and gas units and easily operated for extended periods of time. They commonly use rice or buckwheat coal.

Hand Fired Coal Stoves
A hand fired coal stove is similar to a wood stove and in some cases can burn either. They need to be regulated and fed by hand usually ever 12 to 24 hours depending on your usage. They require no power to operate making them ideal for rural settings with long power outages.
